Separation Anxiety
Training & Support
When being alone feels hard for a dog, it can show up in ways that are upsetting and exhausting for everyone involved. I work with dogs who struggle with separation anxiety by building confidence, predictability, and coping skills over time, using kind, science-based methods.

This service is for you if...
-
You notice your dog struggling when they’re left alone
-
Departures or routine changes seem stressful for your dog
-
Your dog feels more at ease with company than during alone time
-
You’re open to a step-by-step approach to helping your dog feel safer when alone
How Training Works
Foundational Support First
We begin with groundwork designed specifically for separation-related behavior, before any departures happen.
Guided, Gradual Departures
Practice happens in small, intentional steps, following a structured plan that prioritizes your dog’s comfort.
Video Review & Feedback
You’ll share videos so I can help assess body language, progress, and when to move forward or pause.
Building Long-Term Confidence
As your skills grow, guidance becomes lighter—so you’re supported, but not dependent.
Session Frequency & Progress
-
Follow-up sessions scheduled weekly
-
Sessions are available virtually or in person
-
When desensitization begins, video submissions are expected 4–5 times per week
-
A common starting package is 6–8 sessions, which provides a foundation to begin training
Getting Started
All training services begin with an initial consultation. Consultations are 1-2 hours and focus on learning about your dog, reviewing history, and assessing current behaviors. This session is less hands-on training and more about creating a thoughtful, customized plan moving forward.
